Biography

My name is Cassandra Ballew, better known as Mrs. Ballew for the last 7 years of my life. This is my 8th year as a teacher and my 2nd year in 1st grade. I enjoy outdoor activities with my family. I love camping, hiking, and taking road trips. I also love to paint and craft. I am working on a series of children books which is one of my biggest goals as of right now. 

I moved to Utah from New Mexico about 3 years ago. While living in New Mexico I obtained my degree in Early Childhood Multicultural Education from UNM. I focus on social and emotional development to ensure students know how to make friends and establish self regulation. I am also a huge advocate for learning through engaging and hands-on games and resources. I have a unique teaching style that may seem a bit silly to some, but I can guarantee your child will have a successful year of laughs, special moments, and academic growth. I have always had a passion for working with young children. There is so much fulfillment and joy that comes with being a teacher, I couldn't imagine a job better than this! I look forward to working with you and your child.
