Biography

Hello All, My name is Mr. Layden. I’m very excited to begin my third year at Hawthorn Academy, teaching College & Career Awareness and Digital Literacy. I was born in Nova Scotia and raised in New York before moving to Utah at the beginning of Jr. High. I graduated from Skyline High School where I played football, basketball, and baseball. I still enjoy sports, especially great endings. My career path has included Management, Sales & Marketing, Hospitality, Coaching, and Teaching. I am married to my best friend Jaime. We have four children and are expecting our sixth grandchild this year. When I’m not teaching or coaching, I love to travel and to spend time with family and friends.
