Biography

Hello, my name is Mrs. Trisha Combes. I am so excited to be teaching kindergarten here at Hawthorn Academy. This is my first year teaching kindergarten, but will be my 14th year at Hawthorn Academy. I started out as the 1st Grade TA, and then have spent the last 8 years coordinating Hawthorn Academy’s Reading Intervention Program.  

I graduated from Utah State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Family and Human Development, with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. I am currently going through the APPEL program to receive my teaching license.

I am married to Jason and we have 2 kids, Megan who is 20 and attends Utah Tech University, and is majoring in Criminal Justice, and Andrew who is 24 and loves his job as a UPS driver. Both of my kids attended Hawthorn Academy.

I enjoy doing genealogy, reading, and my all time favorite, going on vacation with my family. Our favorite place to vacation is on Balboa Island in California. We go every year in the fall.
